Jose has essentially lost tropical characteristics and is now being classified as a Post-Tropical Low as of the 11pm, Thursday, September 21st advisory from the National Hurricane Center (NHC):
Latest track guidance from NHC continues to show slow and erratic movement of Jose over the next several days with a continued weakening trend. While the storm is now considered post-tropical, it is still likely to produce some tropical storm force wind gusts into parts of New England with more showery weather expected there as well. For the remainder of the East Coast, heavy surf and dangerous rip currents will continue to be a concern for days to come.
