Following Richmond's mayoral debate on Monday night, millennials Amanda Dressman, Madelyn Knopf, Cyler O'Brien and Harry Garnett discussed why they're paying attention to this race and the issues that are important to them.
"Young people to be a part (of the process)," said Knopf. "Even if they can't vote directly, they need to be aware."
Garnett, who works for the Jack Berry campaign, says VCU students need to pay attention to the campaign because so many students not from the area say in Central Virginia for their career.
"I think a lot of us want to stay in Richmond," Garnett said, referring to VCU students. "We need to stay in Richmond and we need to live here and we can improve this city all together."
