Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence will speak at a Liberty University's Convocation in Lynchburg on Oct. 12.
"I think students will very much enjoy hearing from Gov. Pence," Falwell told the The News & Advance. "I think he’ll be very well received at Liberty. I don’t think Donald Trump could have chosen a better running mate than the governor."
LU is no stranger to political candidates visiting. According to LU's website, Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, Ben Carson and Trump have visited campus in this presidential election cycle. In 2015, Jeb Bush was LU's commencement speaker.
Falwell has pledge his personal support for Trump, but the school says "Liberty does not endorse anyone for political office and invites all presidential candidates to speak in Convocation."
