The Democratic Party of Virginia announced this week that U.S. Secretary of Labor Tom Perez will be a special guest at this year's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.
The annual dinner is held the evening of the Democrats' State Convention and is returning to Richmond this year after being held in Northern Virginia last year when Hillary Clinton spoke.
Perez, who has been the Labor secretary since July 2013, has been rumored to be a vice president candidate if Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination for president.
The Jefferson-Jackson dinner will be held at the Richmond Marriott on East Broad Street on June 18. The Democrats convention is at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
