In an effort to continue to make an impact in the presidential race, a spelling mistake by Marco Rubio led to the #untiedstates hashtag trending on Twitter on Wednesday.
The U.S. senator from Florida sent a letter to GOP officials in 21 states and territories and asked them to not release any of the 172 delegates he won earlier this year.
"The decision to suspend my campaign for President of the Untied States is not intended to release any National Convention Delegates bound to me," Rubio says in the letter. "Untied," of course, should be "United."
On the serious side of his move, political experts say that if Rubio convinces state parties to keep his delegates, Trump could be denied the candidacy in the first round of voting at this summer's convention in Cleveland.
